Emily Parks

Emily Parks made the jump to freelance writing after she quit her job as Grants and Education Program Manager at the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure (the breast cancer foundation) as a way to guarantee adult interaction while she stayed at home with her son, Connor, now 2, and Sarah, born in June 2008. She has been published in Baltimore SmartWoman and Mason-Dixon Arrive magazines and has three articles forthcoming for Baltimore's Child. Her career history includes stints in account management at advertising agencies and communications positions in the non-profit world as well as grant writing and grant management.
