Bouchercon Featured Author Austin Camacho at the Canton Library

Mystery author Austin S. Camacho explains how crime pays -- for writers and readers, at least!

Come hear Virginia-based mystery and thriller writer?Austin S. Camacho, author of the popular Hannibal Jones mysteries and Stark & O'Brien adventures -- and past president of MWA -- talk about "Why We Love Crime Fiction" on?Saturday, October 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Canton Library,?1030 S. Ellwood Avenue and O'Donnell Street in?Baltimore.

Camacho will be in town as a featured guest of the week-long Bouchercon mystery/crime authors convention at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center.?Following the talk, Camacho will be selling copies of his latest books and signing autographs at a reception featuring homemade refreshments made from recipes handed down from generations of Canton's oldest families!

The setting couldn't be more appropriate -- the Canton Library was the first Pratt branch to open (and in fact was the nation's first branch library!) back in 1886, and on the outside -- and especially at night -- it looks like the perfect setting for a Victorian mystery.

MWAB is co-sponsoring this event with the Friends of the Canton Library and the Enoch Pratt Free Library.
